What is Anionic PAM?
Anionic polyacrylamide(PAM) series products are water-soluble linear polymers with a high degree of polymerization. They are easily soluble in water and almost insoluble in common organic solvents such as benzene, ether, lipids, and acetone. Anionic polyacrylamide combines valuable properties such as flocculant, thickening, shearing, resistance-reducing, dispersive. Therefore, it is widely used in oil extraction, beneficiation, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical industry, papermaking, textile, sugar, medicine, environmental protection, building materials, agriculture, and other industries.
Product Features:
Anionic polyacrylamide is mainly a slurry with a positive charge on the surface of flocculating ions. Compared with cationic polyacrylamide, anionic polyacrylamide has a higher molecular weight and greater extensibility in water. It can be effectively used for the sedimentation and separation of mineral suspensions and has better sedimentation and separation effect for suspensions with neutral to alkaline pH and more inorganic matter. It can be used in iron-making blast furnaces, aluminum processing, water treatment, etc Anionic polyacrylamide has the characteristics of flocculation, adhesion, resistance reduction, and thickening.
Polyacrylamide(PAM) has Anionic type, Cationic type and Nonionic type, which have many uses regarding to some industries.
Applications:
1.Industrial wastewater treatment: for coarser suspended particles, high concentration, positively charged ions, water ph value of neutral or alkaline sewage, steel plant wastewater, electroplating plant wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, coal washing wastewater, and other sewage treatment, best effect.
2.Drinking water treatment: The water source of many waterworks in China comes from the rivers and reservoirs. The sediment and mineral content are high and relatively turbid. Although it has not been able to meet the requirements after sedimentation and filtration, flocculant needs to be added. In the past, water plants used inorganic flocculants, but the dosage was large, which caused the sludge volume to increase. Anionic polyacrylamide is used as flocculant, and the dosage is 1/50 of inorganic flocculation, but the effect is several times or even several times of inorganic flocculant. The combination of river water and cationic polyacrylamide with serious organic pollution is better.
3.Drilling mud material: In the exploration and development of oil fields and the exploration of geological water and coal, the additive used as drilling mud material can improve the service life of the drill bit, increase the drilling speed and footage, reduce the blockage during drilling, and prevent the collapse. The effect is obvious. It can also be used as a fracturing fluid for oil fields and a water blocking agent for profile control and water shutoff.
4.Oilfield tertiary oil displacement agent: It can adjust the rheology of injected water, increase the viscosity of the oil displacement liquid, improve the water flooding efficiency, reduce the water phase permeability in the formation, and make the water and oil flow forward at a constant speed. Its role is mainly used for tertiary oil recovery in oil fields. For every ton of polymer polyacrylamide product injected, it can collect about 100-150 tons of crude oil.
5.Papermaking auxiliaries: The papermaking industry can be used as a clarification of caustic soda, a retention aid, a filter aid, and a paper dry and wet strength enhancer.
6.Used in the sugar industry as a clarifying agent for sugar juice; used as an additive and binder in aquatic feed.
