Polyamines(PAs)
Polyamine is a cationic polyamine with low molecular weight and very high charge density. It is provided in the form of a transparent to opaque liquid, low viscosity aqueous solution. It is a cationic polymer that performs well in the pH range of 2.5 to 12.0.
[Application]
Polyamine is an organic polymer, which is very effective in condensing colloidal dispersion. It is particularly effective as a sediment control agent when applied to pulp, pulp, wire or felt. It can also effectively remove organics and pigments from the recycled or effluent streams of pulp and paper mills. However, the most cost-effective product should be selected based on performance evaluation using a specific feed or stream for treatment. It can be fed neatly or diluted online to the treatment point.
[Dose]
The dose will depend on the severity of the problem. When applied to pulp or pulp to control deposits, the dose range is 0.5 - 5.0 pounds of polyamine per ton of pulp or pulp (dry basis).
When it is used to control deposits on formed fabrics, the dose range is 0.10 - 1.0 ml / min per 1 foot of fabric width.
[Storage and handling]
Polyamines shall be stored at 50 – 90 ° F. Short term exposure to higher or lower temperatures usually does not damage the product. If frozen, heat it to 80 – 100 ° F. And mix well before use.
Shelf life: 12 months.
